I think this is more a case of Gaudreau trying too much to try and impact the game, he definitely hasn't been without chances in this 'mini-slump'. Ultimately I think he benefited when he was split away from Monahan and Hudler who have definitely been colder to start the year, especially Hudler. Gaudreau - Colborne - Jooris
Bennett - Backlund - Frolik
Ferland - Stajan - Hudler
Bollig - Grant - Jones
I think Hartley will stick with his Top line of Gaudreau - Monahan - Hudler though and I can't really blame him for it with Monahan heating up, they just haven't been able to heat up as a line all together.
