I don't get the outrage from saying "Merry Christmas". If someone wished me a "Happy Hanukkah" or a "Joyous Kwanzaa" I wouldn't be offended.

If you don't celebrate Christmas, why can't I wish you a happy one? The holiday exists. Just because you don't celebrate it doesn't mean you can't have a pleasant day.

I don't celebrate weekends, or evenings, per say; that said if someone says "Have a great weekend" or "have a good evening" I don't get offended.

How negative and sour of a person do you have to be to be upset with someone wishing you well?
