Some of Chinese democracy was bad but there was some very good music on it as well. It was just bloated without slash and Izzy around to simplify things with there more straight ahead bluesy approach. the layers of instrumentation and they fit to get her though was quite impressive on close listens. On the other hand I always felt Velvet revolver was far too straightforward and mechanical. It didn't have the melodrama and emotion.

Not shocked Adler isn't involved. He's supposedly clean and sober but well it's Adler. Sorum was/is a boring drummer.

Sucks Izzy won't be involved but it also isn't a shock. He hates touring. I suspect that as he has done since the break up he'll join them for a few show for a few songs. If for whatever reason they record I'd hope Izzy is involved as he's a fantastic song writer. Patience was all him, he wrote most of the cords for Sweet Child, and his turns on vocals to me were the highlights of the use your illusion albums (dust and bones, 14years, double talking jive).
