Many, the question is what options will work (and what might even worsen matters). No good answer to that seems available.
It might, eventually, as a result of moderate muslims initiating some sort of purge over what would likely take decades. It isn't going away in any timeline that admits the possibility of this not happening again, multiple times.

Indeed. We all should be. A conflict with this apocalyptic ideology seems inevitable to me, whether it's after this attack or the next or the one after. But how to engage in that fight? I'm at a loss.
