You realize this is terrible though right? Every business does things differently and shouldn't have to change their practice due to system limitations. Especially with the ridiculous amounts of money they are paying for licensing.

Maybe I could have worded my previous post better, but I think companies need to be more flexible and also communicate to their employees that there will be major changes in the way they utilize the SAP system and perform various tasks from how they are currently doing their day-to-day tasks.
Another part of the problem is that SAP salesmen make promises that the system can't deliver or isn't ready to deliver (I once met a salesmen who said that the SAP system was ready to deliver a concurrent employment solution when this solution was still on the drawing board in Germany). Suffice it to say, that particular SAP project was an unmitigated disaster.
