If he thinks the season is salvageable, it's extremely risky right now to trade and try to upgrade. If I'm GM, I wait it out until the deadline both ways.
This group went to the 2nd round last year. They may yet be some magic left in them.

Brad needs to decide what he wants in return for his assets and pull the trigger if someone meets the price, whether it's at the TDL or it's tomorrow. Waiting until the deadline for the sake of it could be perilous. Injuries happen or we could get Cammalleri'd. He just needs to set the price and pull the trigger as soon as possible (assuming we're sellers).
It is possible that there is a gulf between BT's valuation and what teams are offering. In that case, it would be best to wait, but that strategy comes with risk. Might not get anything at all if you wait too long.
