I like Star Trek, except for the things that make it Trek. Things like Newtonian Physics, ships always lining up to each other, all aliens just being people with different forehead bumps or ears that were thinly veiled analogies, and that the Federation (Americans) were this perfect flawless people that knew better than everyone else.
What I liked about Trek was the episodes where characters had to make tough choices.
