Yeah she was pretty crazy. But she taught me some amazing tricks. My favorite was to hold your foot over the brake peddle when coasting so your reaction is split in half. Saved my ass at least twice over the years. I remember the window down during winter bit. She took me along crowchild and made me roll my bloody window down for that exact reason you stated. Truthfully, that's the one tip I have ignored over the years...
She would take me into residential areas, and suddenly tell me to pull over. I'd pull over, she'd make me get out she'd offer me a smoke and we'd smoke on the side of road, then back in the car and drive off.
Glad to hear she had a positive influence on you. Hopefully she's enjoying retirement.

Ha ha. What are the odds. She knew my other AMA driving instructor Peter as well since they were long time colleagues at AMA. Glad to know someone else who has graduated from her driving instruction and received positive influence from her coaching.
The brake pedal thing is an excellent tip. I use that one too. I ignored the window thing as well.
