I never said that. I said he was the only possible MSL candidate in terms of "regretting the trade" as the previous poster mentioned. I meant it in terms of the ability to make us regret. If anything, it clarifies more when you note that the original post I quoted mentioned Berra as being a trade that bites us like MSL. (Though IIRC, MSL wasn't traded and I don't think Berra will hurt us as much as MSL did)

See above. There is no bet. I'm not saying Byron will be MSL. I meant his ability to make us regret something may possibly rival MSL. If he even achieves half of what MSL did, good for him, but no IMO way he matches the entire career of MSL. But making us regret could be as simple as being the GWG or making a great block on an open net on a tying goal on a must win game we need to win to enter playoffs.
Again, I meant that comment in terms of him potentially hurting us long term, like MSL did as a member of Tampa. Not that Byron will suddenly become the Art Ross, Cup Champ player MSL became. And again, I don't believe Berra will ever come as close to being as big of a "regret" as MSL.
