The guy is so good, they'll probably create a trophy for the NHL awards that only he can win. The Flames have let a lot of good players slip through the system and have traded them before they should have (in hindsight) like Savard, Giggure, Hull, Gilmore or even the pick we used to take Trevor Kidd over Martin Brodeur but all of those pale in comparison to losing Paul Byron.
Berra is playing really well right now but the Avs and Flames play a different game so there's no telling if Berra would have been good here. Byron on the other hand would have had this team in first overall...I mean the habs are only doing that well because of Byron.

I liked Berra's athleticism but he had the worst catching hand of any goalie I can recall. My plan for him, if we had kept him, was to buy him a baseball catcher's mitt and have him play catch every day in the summer. I suspect North American goalies are good with the glove because of having played baseball as kids.
