This video has so much to notice: Horrible goaltending; the Flyers wearing their long pants; "Season's Greetings" painted on the ice (why don't they do that any more?); hardly anyone in the stands wearing jerseys; Don Cherry doing the colour commentary.
I'd much rather see 3 or 4 goals a game of the quality we're used to seeing today than 5 or 6 goals a game of the quality seen in this video.

So much about that video to like though. From Gretz getting 50 goals in 39 games, to the Philly track pants, big hair and no helmets for half the players, the non stop offence and of course Cherry doing the colour! Would have been an entertaining game to be at for sure!
As far as bigger nets go...the bottom lines is more goals means more excitement, probably better ratings and hence more money for the NHL. Given this they will figure out something.
