"[...]But last December, the charges were dropped when the Denver District Attorney’s Office decided it could not expect a conviction.
Lynn Kimbrough, communications director for the Denver District Attorney’s Office, said the charges were dropped when a key witness, who had observed the injuries to Vavrinyuk but not the alleged assault, changed her story after giving an initial statement to the police.
Kimbrough said Monday it was not a case of “not believing our victim, not believing an assault had occurred. It spoke strictly to our ability to be able to prove it.” "
So it falls under the 'who really knows' category. But the charges were dropped and I believe she's even gone back to Russia.
Either way, I am strongly of the belief that a girlfriend isn't going to spark fire without there being some kind of smoke to begin with.
My personal belief is that if she is guilty of anything it would be an exaggeration of the truth. But I still think there is some truth to all of it for there to have ever been a problem to begin with. He did start the whole thing by turning himself in after all.
Hoping this doesn't de-rail everything entirely, but I absolutely do not want him near our team.
