In a nutshell, the Russians are hampering the efforts of the Saudis (and Americans) to topple Assad.
ISIS had immediately claimed that they shot the plane down. Now it is believed that a bomb brought the plane down. If ISIS did this, I would think they would know how they did it.
Moscow, acting as the actual “good guys”, have “ruined everything” for the Saudi-American alliance. Thus, the Saudis/Americans met the Russian actions with a desperate reply.
Was Metrojet Airbus A321-200 part of this response? I think so.

Killing 220 innocent Russians isn't a very good tactic to get them to leave, now everybody trying to topple Assad is going to feel the wraith of the Russian war machine. Putin knows Obama is a wimp so he'll do what he wants now.
The part bolded implies the U.S could be part of a terror attack bombing a civilian airliner is absolutely ridiculous.
And if you look carefully the so-called Saudi/American alliance is nothing but a smokescreen to protect Israel. Americans deep down could care less about these barbarians.
