Everyone in the league loves Simmonds, and Voracek's value is incredibly high after his breakout last year. Philly isn't looking to break things down to the bone because of the presence of Giroux.
I also think that Calgary doesn't trade for a goalie this year.
That doesn't make Philly a bad trading partner, as you said, but I think that the focus would have to be on players that have become depth pieces in their organization.
With Giroux, Couturier and Laughton, Brayden Schenn has been displaced. He may never live up to his perceived potential, but he is a valuable, versatile, physical forward. Philly also sees Luke Schenn as having negative value, but he wouldn't be horrible in a 5-7 role during this rebuilding year. This is a UFA year for Luke and RFA year for Brayden.
Taking on both might give you Luke and Brayden, with a good prospect such as Sam Morin or even Travis Sandheim, depending on who you are willing to send the other way.
The Flyers are a definite possibility for a swap.
