It's not so much "thinking small" as it is "thinking realistically". There is a difference!

I don't know where you live, but I live in Calgary, and I'm not particularly interested in helping pay for a soccer stadium we don't need on the remote chance that it could be used to host a couple World Cup games at some point in the distant future.

On the other hand, I don't really follow the game. Maybe FIFA is interested in bringing their biggest show to Canada for some mysterious reason. I don't know. I know the home team gets a bye into the tourney, so I guess a World Cup in 2026 would be a wonderful way to welcome our national team back into the tournament after an absence of 40 years.
