Frolik is not a top line RW as you have in your lineup. Up front we need another two legit top 6 wingers but we're not as far away as it seems. That is the biggest hurdle but not insurmountable. The best thing is that Bennett looks to be clearly showing he could be a top line C in this league, given a few years. Those 3 and 4 line C spots could possibly be filled by Jankowski and Arnold, and one of the top 6 wingers Poirier. It is possible if they continue to develop.
With Gaudreau, Bennett, Monahan, Brodie and Hamilton as the long term core, and some nice secondary pieces sprinkled through already, and some good prospect depth in most areas, I'm pretty optimistic.
As I've been saying the biggest problem right now and in the future is at the most important position. But we do have good prospects there.

I think Gaudreau and Monahan are the best fit, playmaker and shooter. The Flames are desperate for a young top 6 scorer to compliment Bennett. Bennett can create so much on the cycle, he needs a shooter on his wing. Was really hoping Poirier would be that guy but he seems a ways away, if he ever gets there. There doesn't seem to be much else in the system in terms of a blue chip offensive forward. Jankowski is still a big question mark and Klimchuk can't seem to stay healthy enough to develop properly.
Having a top 5 pick in 2016 and having the chance to draft a blue chip scorer might not be a bad thing for the long term.
