Get used to Bob Hartley, because he is the reigning Jack Adams winner and is nowhere near the main problem resonating with this team.
I think you couldn't be more wrong. I highly doubt Hartley has as long of a leash as you are suggesting. Bottom 5 finish at the end of the year I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he is let go. I don't see any scenario where he is fired this year but I could easily see him canned if this team is a bottom feeder all year.

Remember this is not Trelving's coach so I don't know if the loyalty is there like it would be with Feaster. In addition coaches like Bob have a short life span. He got so much out of that Atlanta team with young superstars Kobalchuk and Hossa. They win the division, lose in the playoffs, start horribly and Hartley is gone. Also Jack Adams winners are often fired within 2-3 years of winning the award.

I like Hartley but if the room ever quits on him (which can happen if they keep going at this pace) then he is done at the end of the year. Last year was awesome but expectations have risen so even though this team is still rebuilding the message from management has been clear they have no interest in taking a step back. The way the season has gone to date they have taken a HUGE step back
