Knowing your goalie is capable of bailing you out is a huge part of the team's mental make up.
Also, you have to have a goalie who's capable of stealing the odd game for you.
Those two points alone show it's VERY relevant to address the problem in net. Just because there are more than one problem doesn't mean several of them can't be addressed, and a change in what's going on in net could really spur a change throughout the entire line up. It's the most important position in hockey for a reason.

Yes the goalies have been putrid. But the defense has also shown zero confidence in any goaltender. I'm not entirely convinced bringing in another goaltender is the answer. There's problems in the team that are more then just the goaltender . To that I completely agree with.
Look at Winnipeg. How many times have people called for Pavlec to be punted to the curb ? Yet he's still there. I think were in the same boat with our current goalies an it's on the team to play better as a group.
