Honestly I agree with this. We all want to see Ortio play more. But we need to ride a goalie and maybe they can find some form. Nobody is hot right now so it makes no sense to switch through them until one claims the spot. Also if we are going to ride a goalie I want I to be ramo. Ortio is a prospect I don't want us to throw him out there for 4 losses in a row and ruin his confidence.
I get the feeling the flames are a bit wary of riding Ortio and putting it all on him. It could work or it could be horrible for his development and confidence.
The way I see it our problems stem from issues with the system that worked wonders for us last season. We lived by it last season and we may die by it this season. We also have a few players performing at notably lower levels this season. Hudler Monahan wideman russell giordano have all been a bit off for different reasons.
I don't think our goalies have been good but they haven't been as bad as their combined 870 save percentage which I believe is last in the league. They have let in untimely softies but they haven't been terrible all the time.
Ride Ramo out and see if he can help the team get going. If he can, awesome. If he can't... At least it wasn't Ortio in there being hung out by his d.
