God I hate these absolute statement when there's so much time left in the season.
They are struggling. Yes indeed are they ever having a hard time. I won't debate that at all.
However, they aren't that far off the mark overall and if they clean up parts of their game they'll still be a decent team for the rest of the year.
Unfortunately, the lost points now probably means they will finish behind last year's pace, but regression was expected this year...by just about anybody who follows hockey.
You can't throw away previous results when discussing a coach's tenure. The whole picture matters, and you don't overreact due to a poor start and relatively small sample size.
