Calgary can't STOP goals which is why they keep losing.

How does second line Jerome iginla address dropping 3 two-goal leads against the oilers in one game?

The problems you're talking about are solved by improved goaltending (either through trade or internally) and improved team defence. You're focusing on different issues than I am. I'm not saying iginla solves either of those problems. Iginla would help with depth scoring, powerplay, and grit in the top six forwards. All things that I think the team could use.

Not saying the issues you mentioned aren't as important... In fact, they are the most important... but if iginla could be acquired in a hockey deal for someone like wideman for example I think it would be a good trade.

People can say this team shouldn't make a trade that's short term... But I think iginla will be productive for the entirety of his current contract and possibly could still be productive on one year deals after that... He hasn't shown any signs of dropping his production so far and he is widely regarded as one of the most fit players in the league. If he is productive for he next 2-3 seasons... Doesn't that fit into the window of when this team should be competitive? I'm not prepared to give up on this season at all.
