I was down on Wideman at the beginning of last year. But I've come around a bit. Sure he's not the best defensive defenceman, but as some have said, if he put up the points he does plus was a great shutdown guy, he'd be a 7-9 million dollar man. As it is, I think he has a better IQ than Russell, and defensively plays within himself most nights. He used to get beat coming back a lot, now he gets the head start he needs.
