And last year he was really great for the Flames, got 56 points, stepped up when Giordano was out and played crazy minutes every night against the league's top lines, and kept doing it in the playoffs. This year he is looking to be about the same, and really seemed to help Giordano with his game when they switched Hamilton off that pairing and replaced him with Wideman.
Guess we can just choose to see what we want to see. Defencemen capable of logging big minutes and scoring at that rate are not common or cheap to trade for.
