I'd much rather have a Ferland on Johnny's wing who is young and unpredictable with the gloves off but I think Johnny is fine and would perfer to see the combo that lit up the league during the second half last year.
The prospect of trading Wideman straight across for Iggy is an interesting thought. He would round out the right side of our top nine quite nicely and his contract is a wash with Wideman being almost the same cap hit with 2 years left as well.
If we ever brought Iggy back - though I think the chance is slim to none and slim just left town - with everyone healthy run with something like:
Gaudreau - Monahan - Hudler
Colborne - Bennett - Iginla
Bouma - Backlund - Jooris
Ferland - Stajan - Jones
Gaudreau - Monahan - Iginla
Giordano - Brodie
Bennett - Colborne - Hudler
Russell - Hamilton

I would rather have Frolik on the second line left wing spot.
