Still need to get Hamilton going though. Tough start for the Flames is not helping to him having to learn the Flames system and struggling. I guess easing him up and playing the 3rd pairing will do him some good for now.
As for the game, I thought the first two periods the Flames were skating really well even though ref keeps calling the borderline penalties against them. Gaudreau got slashed in the hand and no call. Then when to the other side and an Oiler player went down and out goes the penalty. Third period I thought they went on a panic mode and start making mistakes. Bennett's line did a great job against the McJesus line all night. Karri Ramo did well I thought. Maybe I fault him with one goal but the puck hit Russell's skate and puck went to Purcell for an easy goal. Hall's goal was a tapped in while Davidson blast was not that easy to save. I heard it was 96 miles/hr. Good bounce back for him though.

They ahowed Bennet has out played McDavid in every game they have been in together. Whether on the same team or against one another and the shot against ramo was 152 Km/hr.
By all accounts Bennett > McDavid. They put it up tonight in black and white that Bennet has out played and out scored Mcdavid all throughout their junior careers. I get thatt Mcdavid has better numbers outside of facing Sam Bennet blag blah blah blah.... But dose it not tell more of a story that when head to head Bennet outplays Mcdavid ?
Any game Sam has faced Connor in he has outplayed and out scored? The hype about Bennet stopped after he couldn't do a pullup and because he missed most of last year.
