If he is being overwhelmed playing protected minutes in the AHL, which he is; he can learn a lot by playing against the top players in the WHL. The guy has mostly played in a 2nd tier Swedish league, it's not like he was an SHL fixture.
Edit: I don't even know what I took your word for it, but Kylington has not really played pro against men fare r 3 years. Last year he split his time evenly between an under 20 team, the swe-2 league and the SHL. The year beforehand re split between the under 20 team and the SHL. The previous season all his game were with under 20 and under 18 teams. He has a whopping 67 games as a pro in Sweden split between 2 years and 3 teams
