That is a very good question...I wish I had the answer. So far Hamilton has been a disappointment and Russell/Wideman have been exposed as the defensive liabilities that they are. That leaves 2 games of Brodie, Giordano (who still doesn't look quite right), Engelland (definitely not a defensive superstar), and Kulak (who wasn't lighting the world on fire in his stay with the Flames).
Right now I don't have any answers and that is frustrating.
I don't want Treliving to blow things up because all of the players that we could trade are performing so poorly that the return would certainly not make the team any better. Firing Hartley? If it was any other coach, I'd be calling for his head. But Hartley has earned a chance to try to put out the dumpster fire.
I just don't know.
