I think people are caught up on the 97 points to make it last year. But like someone mentioned already, the entire Pacific division is off to a slow start. If 97 is the magic number then these teams need to go:
Kings 37-25-11
Canucks 38-25-9
Arizona 38-24-10
Sharks 39-24-10
Oilers 40-22-9
Flames 41-21-10
Ducks 42-21-9
It's likely only 3 from the Pacific will make it to the post season again. Seems wide open still with an emphasis on winning divisional games. You'd think at some point Calgary/Anaheim will start winning divisional games which will really make things very interesting. While I'm enjoying watching the Flames lose, don't give up yet. It's a long season.
