Is the hose leaking or just not screwed in properly/tight enough. First thing I'd do is disconnect the water and check for that. Maybe remove and then re-attach the hose. Even if the part is broken, you should be able to find a replacement at home depot. I recently replaced a sink intake and drainage in my rental unit. It's a fairly easy process. As long as you don't have to dig into a wall or structure to do it, I'd at least try it yourself. However, the bonus to getting a properly certified plumber is that you have someone to sue if things go wrong.
Unfortunately, sink hoses are a piece that builders often skimp on, but can lead to massive devastation. The hose into our upstairs (3rd floor) bathroom ruptured and flooded our entire house while we were gone for work. It would have been much worse, but our neighbours noticed water leaking out of our exterior siding and were able to shut our water off.
As for your counter, it's unlikely to go back to it's original shape. You can try to flatten it out before it dries.
