It's depressing how many 20 goal scorers we have. Also players who would set career highs if they scored 20. I believe nobody on this team has more than 30 something goals in their career Hudler/Monahan.
Now I know why brad was losing sleep about our scoring last season. It's a miracle we scored as much as we did. Thanks to defencemen pitching in a ton.
It's time to realize our group of forwards outside the top 3-4 guys is terrible. I think only 5 of our forwards have any serious trade value.

Not too many teams have more than a couple consistent 30 goal guys. The Hawks have three guys who've ever scored 30 (and Hossa has only done it once since he joined them). The Ducks only have two 30 goal scorers (unless you count kesler because of one season 5 years ago).
Calgary is still rebuilding. Let's not get carried away with last year's results and expect them to be an elite scoring team this year. Is it a shock that a team with relative newcomers like Bennett, Colborne, Ferland, Jooris and Granlund decent ice time doesn't have a lot of guys with scoring history?
I think Calgary has a decent allotment of "30 goal capable" guys. Which is 3-4. Eventually Bennett will start to score (maybe he broke through last game) and IMO he will score a lot. So him, plus the top line, is about what the Flames can expect for high end scoring.
Now secondary scoring - 20 goal capable guys? That may be more of an issue. But it is for most teams. Jones did it twice and was roughly on pace last year. He has 3 goals this year - that's pretty good. But he's not a long term guy. Raymond and Jooris were close to that pace, but I don't think you can expect that out of them again - Raymond because he's on the down side of his career and Jooris because that was an anomoly IMO. Bouma is kind of the same.
More positively, Colborne already has 2 and he only had 8 (in 54 games) last year, so he's improving his offence and is a maybe. Frolik got 19 last year and will get bigger minutes this year. Ferland and Granlund are offensive question marks for me - I could see them developing into secondary scorers, or not panning out at all.
But there are guys with some offence in the system as well - Poirier maybe. Shore maybe (probably not). Janko? Klimchuk? Mangiapane?
