You haven't quite said how bad the warping is - but in general, once particleboard is warped - it's never going back to it's original state. It may flatten out a bit when it dries so give it a week before contemplating anything,.

Insurance? Not worth it. Not sure what your deductible is but I suspect it will be a lot. The call is free of course, so it's your decision.

I suspect your bigger decision will be whether the warping is bothersome enough that you can live with it and for how long....
