So I was sitting at my island in my kitchen tonight and noticed that my kitchen counter was warped and no longer flush with the sink. Looks like the hose attached to my kitchen sink was leaking causing the particle board to expand. Looks like there is also some damage underneath the sink in the cabinet

Two questions I was hoping people could help with. The first is whether or not this is something I should put through my home insurance, and the second is this something that is even fixable? I'm assuming not, and the damage is already done. I'd insert a picture if I knew how. I'm the farthest thing from a handyman there could be.

I guess that also leads to a third question, anyone have good experience with countertop guys they could recommend?
