Most women prefer circumcised so IMO that's a positive in your boy's journey in his adult life and relationships.

That said my wife was against it because of the gross pictures they show you at child birth classes so we left him alone and my second boy the same. When my oldest turned five he started having a lot of issues with his penis being sore all the time, burning when urinating, and the problem was his foreskin hole was extremely small. Impossible to retract and restricting the flow of urine so he had to get circumcised which isn't a very nice ordeal at that age as he was very sore for a week. So now we have two boys, one circumcised and the other not. Kind of wish I got my way in the beginning.
Sorry to hear about your one son having trouble! That being said, it seems like there are more and more treatment options for conditions that may be similar so a surgical procedure may not be necessary.

As for the aesthetic aspect, I've already touched on that, but consider what men "prefer" and contemplate making those same decisions for your daughter. Doesn't seem like a compelling reason to do something for me, and frankly if it is the sole reason, seems quite over the top.

An excerpt on phimosis I found that was interesting, link will be below it.

"Circumcision was the mainstay of treatment for pathologic phimosis. With advent of newer effective and safe medical and conservative surgical techniques, circumcision is gradually getting outmoded. Parents and doctors should a be made aware of the noninvasive options for pathologic phimosis for better outcomes with minimal or no side-effects."

"Analyses of medical records carried out in England and Western Australia revealed that medically indicated circumcisions were seven times more than the expected incidence of phimosis in children less than 15 years of age [2, 3]; implying thereby that there is a high rate of unnecessary circumcisions [4]. The operation of circumcision is not devoid of adverse effects and also has a huge economic impact"

And just to be clear, I'm obviously not saying you did the wrong thing (who am I to say/judge that?) but merely showing that there are often other ways around things that might come up in this realm that can be as effective or moreso than circumcision without the permanent procedure.
