I don't put circumcision in the same light as vaccination in that the parent's choice either way isn't likely to have much of a bearing on the child's welfare and safety. The pros and cons to me are all pretty negligible. I was born in Europe so I didn't get circumcised and when we had our first boy I actually wanted him to get snipped because of my experience while not bad I believe it's a pain in the but to clean at times and I did when I was younger get it infected once and it sucked. Most women prefer circumcised so IMO that's a positive in your boy's journey in his adult life and relationships.
That said my wife was against it because of the gross pictures they show you at child birth classes so we left him alone and my second boy the same. When my oldest turned five he started having a lot of issues with his penis being sore all the time, burning when urinating, and the problem was his foreskin hole was extremely small. Impossible to retract and restricting the flow of urine so he had to get circumcised which isn't a very nice ordeal at that age as he was very sore for a week. So now we have two boys, one circumcised and the other not. Kind of wish I got my way in the beginning.
