Surprised at some of the dislike of Skinner, he had a remarkably unlucky season last year.

His on-ice PDO was 949, which is really really unlucky (6th worst PDO in the league). The worst team overall last year finished with a 971, so he was a big outlier in that range.

Also he was one of that only 53 NHLers that had 200 shots on goal or more last season. Jeff Skinner finished 49th of that group with a 7.7% shooting percentage.

The season he had 33 goals he had shot 12% (ranked 27th among skaters with > 200 shots), if he even duplicated that shooting percentage it would have been 10 more goals last season, or 28 goals on the year instead of 18.

IMO seems exactly like the guy you want to buy low on.
