The issue is other teams struggling don't really have any forwards that are worth dealing for, and our players value had dropped after they were at an all time high in the offseason.
Anaheim is in the same boat with having too many d-men and can't score.
Columbus needs D but not sure they have any NHL forwards that they want to deal that aren't cap issues.
Boston may be a fit with them needing back end help, could a UFA swap of Loui Erikson for Kris Russell make sense. Also opens up a little more cap room for the Bruins.
Carolina would be interesting, wonder what it would take to pry Skinner out of there.
There just aren't a lot of teams looking to deal legitimate top 6 forwards.
