There are people who eat poorly (judging by girth alone) from Muslim and Jewish backgrounds who would be counterpoints to the North American bacon and Bbq ribs lovers. So then do unhealthy eaters from those groups have a higher risk to cancer than unhealthy eaters of red meat/processed meats/pork eaters. I think that would be a fair comparison.
But then there's probably a lot of Jewish people who eat pastrami or corned beef which is also processed. Probably difficult to find a control group.
