Doesn't Bickell only make 500,000 more than Smid and for the same amount of time? Not sure why his deal is any more of an anchor than Smid's is.
I have been impressed with Smid in his first two games but would consider the deal because I think Bickell adds some size with some skill to the forwards. Although would make an already crowded forward group that much more crowded.
