I'd take Smid or Engelland for Bickell at this point. As much as he is mediocre depth guy, the Flames could use his size up front and they wouldn't be adding much to the payroll, .500 in Smid's case.

With both Bouma and Ferland out for a month plus, that would also help in that regard.
