With the way that Smid has come back and looked better than ever I think you pretty much have to make a deal.
It is nice to have depth but sitting a guy making 2.9 or 3.5 (assuming it is Engelland or Smid) when the team is struggling offensively and has 3 guys who are close to NHL ready (Nakladal, Wotherspoon and Kulak) in the farm seems like a waste of resources.
