Good goaltenders elevate their game to carry "pretty crappy teams" with Faulk, Sekera, Jeff Skinner, Eric Staal, Jordan Staal, Elias Lindholm, etc.

No way is he worse than Ramo.

2012 Lockout-to-Now Stats
Player / GP / Save Percentage / Low Danger / Medium Danger / High Danger
Ward / 105 / .906 / .964 / .919 / .796
Ramo / 84 / .910 / .967 / .918 / .819
Hiller / 153 / .913 / .965 / .919 / .832
Bobrovsky / 159 / .919 /.967 / .923 / .832
Varlamov / 167 /.918 / .970 / .936 / .830
Ward is worse than Ramo, but that doesn't mean Ramo's very good. Right now Ward's arguably
the reason the Hurricanes are a "pretty crappy team". I added Bobrovsky and Varlamov as examples of good (better-than-Hiller) goaltenders on a "bad" team.
Ward got hot in the playoffs (
in a tandem) 10 seasons ago. He's made the playoffs exactly once since then.
