Add the legal prostitution and it's quite a sight, prostitutes, open alcohol and cops all in the same vicinity. No violence no nothing, the citizens don't even notice.

Watched little old ladies walk right on by debauchery without a care. There's even nudity in the papers, nobody thinks anything of it. One German told me that's just the way of life, alcohol and sex have been around for millenia and they don't even notice it's there until you point it out. Funny how a lot of the social reservations north Americans have are fabricated for an overly sensitive society.

There appears to be no liqour laws but that is because that is the liqour laws. As long as you are not out of hand with your drinking and don't cause a public disturbance you are within the law. The minute you do step out of the confines of those laws tho you do face the consequences.

I have friends and family from Germany that visit me here that are absolutely blown away about the relaxed enforcement of personal amounts of marijauna and its' use (comparatively to many European and Asian countries) . They can not beleive we are so relaxed on marijauna use but you can not have a beer walking down the street. I tell them that that is how I feel when I have been to their homes.
