Ehhhh, I don't know.
Engelland should really be out of conversations entirely. He was a signing to get to the cap floor, and has played quite well of late.
Raymond was absolutely a more positive signing when it was made than it is today. It's more on Raymond than it is on Treliving that he hasn't played to his contract. After his stint in Toronto, I doubt Treliving was the only GM in that ballpark with Mason. Is it higher than he could have played to? Perhaps. But certainly so high I get upset with Treliving over it.
The Ramo signing was fine. It created a 'three-headed-monster', sure. But I don't think anyone predicted Hiller and Ramo playing as poorly as they have. That makes the decision of who to keep more difficult, as well as throwing a wrench into the 'trade the odd man out' plan. But in the end, it was a calculated risk with nothing to lose cap-wise. Ramo's cap isn't going to hurt us this year.
Can't say I'm too upset with Treliving through any of this. Could the 3-headed-monster have caused confidence issues? Sure. But I'd rather have goalies in net that strive to be the best of the 3 than 2 goalies struggling when pressure mounts.
