A conservative seat counts in terms of an election win for the party though.. that's kind of the point right?

I probably would vote Conservative if Anders wasn't the representative. I disagree with his stance on pretty much everything. I oppose his views on gay marriage, immigration, ethics, Canadian Military operations, etc.. I think he's discriminatory, closed minded and crude and my only wish is that the electoral process was complete in that someone else was allowed to challenge him for the Conservative representation of Calgary West.

The issue here is that it doesn't seem like fair practice is going on. A liberal seat in Calgary West isn't support for the Liberals, it's a protest against the representation of Calgary West given by Rob Anders.
