I just find it surprising so many Albertans on this board are prepared to potentially vote for their own hardship. I have a sneaky feeling none of CP's O and G sector workers, are the ones throwing stones at the CPC. And I also believe that many of the people that are voting against the CPC, wouldn't be doing so, if their livelihood was potentially at stake.

Your wrong here, losing income splitting will cost me 2k, I work in o+g.
Harper is just terrible though. He has been bad for o+g. No pipelines, no income trusts(that one was good for Canada), and no foreign ownership. A failure at marketing our oil as ethical. For a guy who was supposed to be in big oils pocket he failed on all major issues aside from carbon tax.
Then you look at prisons, mandatory sentencing, long form census, funding of science, tax cuts for upper middle class, buying votes with your own money with the ucb, a fear based culture, the undermining of citizenship a distain for the courts.
And pretty quickly the 2k I'm paying in additional taxes is worth it and Treadeaus in the pipeline companies pockets already so I'm still much more worried about oil price than the liberals
