Estrada is going to be looking for a big day. Probably his last contract at 32 years old, and he's never had anything negotiating leverage in his career until his performance this season. I'd be very leary giving him a 3 year 15M contract (which is what I suspect is asking price will be) under the Jays salary structure. If the Jays were the Yankees, I'd give that money to him in a heartbeat, but Rogers owns the Jays, and if we take that contract and it doesn't work out we'll be eating it for years and the money will be at the sacrifice of another pitcher or position player. I'm not confident Estrada will repeat his performance from this season.
