Not really beneficial for either party for that matter. If he gave her something like that, it would probably piss of some Liberal MPs that were hoping for it, and she isn't powerful enough to make it worth it.
If she accepted it, it basically endorses a party that her own party tries to "steal" votes from during every election.
I could see he being appointed to the senate if she lost her seat as an MP though.
