There's money to be made in the evenings on weekends, when there's a chronic shortage of cabs. Which is the whole problem with the licensing system in the first place - it can't cope with the dramatic variance in demand over the course of a week. So no, probably not a lot of money to be made full-time, but money to be made part time.
