Haven't spotted any other landmarks so far but it'll be harder as they would only be using locations they can mask as 1979.

The Waffle House was a temporary set they built out at CL Ranch which is west of the city off Highway 22, north of Highway 8.
They filmed a bunch of AMC's Hell on Wheels out there too.
