Absolutely. But again, the dough and his winning pedigree thus far will soften the blow of not winning in Toronto. He knows hes one of the best, and so does everyone else.
Babcock doesn't put the team together, the GM does (I think? I have a tough time imagining Toronto GMs having autonomy from owners/execs).
The Leafs are a flawed team; if they miss the playoffs it's not Babcock's fault. If they make it though, he gets the Jack Adams. It'll take a brilliant bit of coaching to drag that lot into the post season.
